Rules and Regulations (A – Z)

Admission

Every person who attends an event for which tickets are sold must have a valid ticket in order to gain admission.

Alcohol

Any outside beverages, including alcoholic beverages, are not permitted to be brought into the Sweetland Amphitheatre for the Summer/Fall Concert Season, as well as for some other Sweetland events. Only events labeled “Picnic Approved” will allow outside food and beverage. Be sure to carefully check the event information online or on your ticket to determine the type of event you are attending and what is allowed inside the venue. For all events hosted by Sweetland (vs. a third party), beer and wine will be available for purchase inside the venue. IDs are required for all alcohol purchases and consumption regardless of age. There shall be no consumption of alcohol at Sweetland by minors or as otherwise prohibited by law.

Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA)

Accessible Parking Accessible parking spaces are located both at the Sweetland Pavilion Main Gate (6 spaces) as well as in the VIP Parking Lot located (20 spaces) to the left of the Pavilion. Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. You do not need a parking pass, but please have your state issued handicap license tag or an ADA hang tag visible to the police and parking attendants. Additional parking is available in the areas surrounding the amphitheatre. Alternatively, guests who require additional assistance may use the loading zones located at the Pavilion Main Gate to load and unload. Accessible Seating Sweetland Amphitheatre is completely wheelchair accessible for all guests with disabilities. We offer special seating areas for wheelchairs and scooters. You can purchase accessible seats and companion seats online. If you need special assistance to your seats from one of our entrance gates, please ask one of our friendly ushers or volunteer staff.

Animals/Pets

With the exception of seeing-eye dogs or other service animals or animals used as part of an event, no pets are allowed in the facility. Guests requiring the assistance of service animals must show proper credentials.

BBQs

For the safety of our patrons, BBQs, hibachis, etc. are NOT permitted inside the venue or any of the surrounding parking areas.

Blankets

Sweetland Amphitheatre has general admission seating for up to 1300 located on the sloped lawn immediately behind our reserved stadium seating. Blankets, limited to beach towel size, as well as low-profile beach chairs. Out of respect for fellow concert-goers, chair legs must be no higher than 12” off of the ground and chair backs no higher than 27” off the ground. Chairs higher than low profile, beach style chairs (i.e. camping chairs and chairs higher than 12” off the ground) will not be allowed into the venue. Tables, tents or large umbrellas, regardless of size, ARE NOT PERMITTED on the lawn and will not be allowed into the venue. Space on the lawn may be limited, so we ask that all blankets be folded directly under your occupied area only. Please be courteous of other patrons near you and do not take up more space than is needed.

Box Office

Season and single tickets for Sweetland Amphitheatre ticketed events can be purchase through this website or by contacting Freshtix, our ticketing partner. In addition, the Sweetland Amphitheatre Box Office, located at 110 Smith Street, LaGrange, GA, is open three hours prior to the gate time on the night of the performance and remains open until approximately 30 minutes after the headliner begins. In order to expedite the ticket purchasing process on the night of an event, the Box Office will only sell night-of tickets. The Box Office only accepts cash, debit cards, Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. Checks are not accepted.

Capacity

Sweetland Amphitheatre has a load capacity of 4,000 and a seating capacity of up to 2,500 including 935 Premium Reserved and Reserved stadium seats, 1,300 general admissions seats on our sloped grassy lawn area.

Cameras

Guests may bring in a non-professional (point-and-shoot) style camera with no removable lens. Use of video cameras is strictly prohibited.

Cancelled or Postponed Events

If an event for which tickets were sold is cancelled or rescheduled, refunds are only available through the original point of purchase. Information regarding the cancellation or postponement will be transmitted to the local media for distribution and placed on the Sweetland Amphitheatre website and social media sites. Sweetland Amphitheatre will not contact individual ticket holders regarding cancellations or postponements. Customers who purchased tickets online or over the phone through our ticketing partner, Freshtix, will automatically be refunded the full ticket amount including service fees (mailing costs will not be refunded) within one week of event cancellations. Customers who purchased tickets through the Box Office must return to the Box Office with their tickets and the original method of payment to receive a refund. If an event is postponed, tickets purchased for the original date will be honored on the new event date. In most cases, refunds will also be available at the original point of purchase up until the new event date has passed. See our weather section for our guideline on determining when an event might be cancelled or postponed due to weather.

Chairs

Low-Profile-Chair-Revised

Low profile beach chairs are allowed on the general admission sloped lawn ONLY. Out of respect for fellow concert-goers, chairs must sit no higher than 12” off of the ground. Tailgate and camping style chairs will not be allowed into the venue.

Coolers and Picnic Baskets

Only those events labeled “Picnic Approved” will coolers and picnic baskets be permitted (restrictions apply). Coolers, picnic baskets and tables are NOT permitted at any of the Summer/Fall Concert Season events. Be sure to carefully check your event ticket and online event information to determine if there are any restrictions on what you are allowed to bring inside the venue. In order to expedite your entrance into the venue for “Picnic Approved” events, please follow these guidelines regarding your coolers and picnic baskets: • PICNIC BASKETS, COOLERS & BAGS MAXIMUM SIZE: 23” wide by 16” deep and 38 quarts. STRICTLY ENFORCED. • TABLES OF ANY SIZE ARE PROHIBITED on the General Admission Lawn or VIP Orchestra Pit areas. Small tables will be available for purchase in our merchandise tent located on the Great Lawn that you can easily carry to your Premium Reserved or Reserved Seat. Check out our Food and Beverage section below for details on food selections on sale inside the venue. For those “Picnic Approved” events, all coolers, bags and picnic baskets may be subject to search.

Courtesy

Sweetland Amphitheatre is a family-friendly facility. Please do your part in promoting a family-friendly atmosphere by showing common courtesy to fellow guests and refraining from using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal or offensive behavior.

Credit Cards

Credit/debit cards and cash are all accepted at Sweetland Amphitheatre. Checks will not be accepted. There is not an ATM located inside the venue, but there are numerous locations located within less than a mile from the venue. Please plan accordingly.

Directions

Sweetland Amphitheatre is located in LaGrange, GA with easy access from both I-85 and I-185 and within walking distance to our historic downtown shops and restaurants so come early and make a day of it! Click here for directions.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Area

Sweetland’s primary drop-off/pick-up area is located at the Sweetland Pavilion with accessible access to all areas of the venue. An additional accessible drop off is located in the West Gate VIP Parking Lot located to the left of the Pavilion Main Gate. Only patrons with a VIP parking pass (available where you purchase tickets) or state issued handicap license tag or an ADA hang tag will be allowed access to this drop off/pick-up area. There are 20 accessible parking spaces located in the West Gate VIP Parking Lot and will be filled on a first come-first serve basis. Buses and Limos must use the circular driveway in front of the Pavilion Main Gate. Please do not attempt to load or unload on Smith Street. Patrons needing additional assistance from the drop off area can contact the Administrative Office in advance at 706-298-5434 or ask one of our friendly staff personnel for assistance.

Employment

Sweetland is not currently hiring, but part-time positions may become available for the Summer/Fall season. Our Employment page will include a listing of openings when they become available.

First Aid

Emergency Management Technicians (EMTs) will be on hand at all large-scale performances at Sweetland. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Devices are located at both the Pavilion Box Office and Stage House. Should you need medical attention, please let one of our ushers or security personnel know and they can radio for assistance.

Food & Beverage

Only those events labeled “Picnic Approved” will coolers and picnic baskets be permitted (restrictions apply). Coolers picnic baskets and tables are NOT permitted at any of the Summer Concert Series events. Be sure to carefully check your event ticket and online event information to determine if there are any restrictions on what you are allowed to bring inside the venue. In order to expedite your entrance into the venue for “Picnic Approved” events, please follow these guidelines regarding your coolers and picnic baskets: • PICNIC BASKETS, COOLERS & BAGS MAXIMUM SIZE: 23” wide by 16” deep and 38 quarts. We provide an ample selection of food and beverages available for purchase at our concession counter located at the base of the Sweetland Pavilion adjacent to the Great Lawn. There you will find a wonderful selection of snacks, ice-cold water, and bottled sodas. Beer and wine by the glass or bottle will also be available for purchase at any of our satellite beverage carts located throughout the venue.

Gates

Gates generally open one hour prior to the event start time, but this is subject to change on an event-to-event basis as required. Please check your ticket or this website to confirm when the gates will open for your event. We encourage patrons while attending a show at Sweetland to stay and play! Guest Services Window

For your conveniences, a Guest Services window is located upon arrival at the Sweetland Amphitheatre Pavilion, adjacent to the Box Office. A Guest Services volunteer will be available to direct you and answer any questions you might have. Lost and Found is also located at the Guest Services window.

ID Required

ID is required for all patrons who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages (21 and older). IDs will also be required of patrons at the Box Office who are either purchasing tickets or picking up tickets from Will Call.

Intoxicated Patrons

Intoxicated patrons may be denied admittance to the amphitheatre or be asked to leave if they are behaving in a disorderly fashion.

Lost and Found

“Lost and found” is located at the Guest Services window at the Main Gate. Sweetland is not responsible for items lost, misplaced or stolen at the Amphitheatre. Items will remain in lost and found for thirty days; call 706.298.5434 to recover lost items.

Lawn Seating

Sweetland Amphitheatre has general admission seating for up to 1,300 located on the sloped lawn immediately behind our reserved stadium seating. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Sweetland entry gates open one hour prior to an event so come early and enjoy yourself prior to the show. Lost Tickets

Sweetland Amphitheatre is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Please contact the original point of purchase for details. If you purchased your tickets from our website, Freshtix, or visit the Sweetland Box Office located at the Pavilion Main Gate. The Box Office opens two hours prior to the gate time on the night of the performance and remains open until approximately 30 minutes after the headliner begins.

All media personnel should request access through our offices no later than 2 weeks before an event in order to be considered and should have appropriate credentials in order to be considered; contact 706.298.4523.

Motorcycles

Motorcycles may park at their own risk in the specified parking lots or surrounding area. There is not a specific parking area for motorcycles.

Parking

There is ample FREE parking within walking distance to Sweetland including off-street parking, LaGrange High School Parking lot and Troup County Government Center parking deck. Click here to view our Parking page. On-site, there are there are over 100 VIP parking spaces located at Sweetland Amphitheatre in our West Gate Parking Lot. For those events requiring them (i.e. the Summer/Fall Concert Season), VIP parking passes can be purchased online when you purchase event tickets. There are also 6 accessible parking spaces located at the Sweetland Pavilion Main Entrance as well as 20 in the West Gate Parking Lot.

Post-Event Procedure

All guests at the Amphitheatre are required to exit the facility immediately after the event concludes.

Private Vending

Private vending (including selling of tickets) is prohibited within the Amphitheatre parking lot and grounds.

Prohibited Items

Aerosol cans, cameras with removable lenses and flashes, fireworks, chairs higher than 12” off the ground, tents, all umbrellas, illegal drugs, gifts for the artist/performer, laser pens and pointers, noisemaking devices, framed backpacks, musical instruments, skateboards or inline skates, video cameras or other recording devices, weapons, personal property that is a potential hazard to others and any other items deemed inappropriate or dangerous are prohibited at the Sweetland Amphitheatre. For most events, outside food, beverages, coolers, tables or picnic baskets. Only those events labeled “Picnic Approved” will coolers, tables and picnic baskets be permitted (restrictions apply). Coolers, tables and picnic baskets are NOT permitted at any of the Summer/Fall Concert Season events. Be sure to carefully check your event ticket and online event information to determine if there are any restrictions on what you are allowed to bring inside the venue.

Re-Entry Policy

Re-entry is strictly prohibited. Guests who need to leave and re-enter should contact a Guest Services representative for assistance and exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis as determined by the representative or by the Amphitheatre General Manager or her designee.

Re-Sold Tickets

Event tickets purchased from a source other than the Amphitheatre Box Office or Freshtix, our ticketing partner, may not be honored for admission. Sweetland Amphitheatre is not responsible for counterfeit tickets.

Recycling

Sweetland recycles and we encourage our patrons to as well! As part of our partnership with Keep Troup Beautiful, recycling bins are located throughout the venue. Please do your part to ensure the beauty of Sweetland by disposing of your trash properly and recycling all plastic and aluminum products.

Restroom Buildings

Are located at the Sweetland Pavilion and offer accessible facilities and are equipped with infant changing tables.

Seating

The Sweetland Amphitheatre has the flexibility to offer a variety of seating options for patrons. Please visit our venue seating chart for more details. Our facility is a 2,000+ capacity open air, uncovered amphitheatre located in the heart of historic downtown LaGrange, GA.

Terrace Box Located at the edge of the Great Lawn overlooking the entire Amphitheatre are our one-of-a-kind Terrace Box Tents. These 10×10 tents include 6 comfortable camping chairs for your entertainment pleasure. These seats not only provide you with a birds eye view of the venue, but you’ll enjoy being near all the activity and fun taking place on the Great Lawn before the show and in between sessions. Not to mention, you are just a short walk to the restrooms. Premium Reserved and Reserved Seating Sweetland boasts 935 fixed, stadium-style and accessible seats with an uninterrupted view of the stage and ample room in front of each seat. For Summer Concert Series events, complimentary TV trays are available at the West Gate entrance for you to take, along with yor meal, to your reserved seat and enjoy! We ask that patrons please return the trays when they are finished. Smoking/Tobacco Use

Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking area located on the Great Lawn just west of the Pavilion. Violation of this policy may result in expulsion from the venue. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all seating areas including the lawn and pine straw area. This includes electronic/vapor cigarettes.

Strollers

Strollers are permitted at the Amphitheatre. However, it is recommended that strollers not be taken into the Amphitheatre because they must be left at the Stroller Parking. Strollers may not be taken to seats, stored in aisles, left upright in the sloping, grassy General Admission lawn area. Sweetland will not monitor stored strollers and is not responsible for lost or stolen strollers.

Ticketing

Every person who attends an event for which tickets are sold must have a valid ticket in order to gain admission. The purchase of tickets prior to all ticketed events is done exclusively through our ticketing partner, Freshtix. You can purchase tickets through this website or by contacting Freshtix. Patrons are encouraged to only purchase tickets through Freshtix to avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen, void or invalid tickets. Event tickets purchased from a source other than Freshtix or the Sweetland Amphitheatre Box Office, may not be honored for admission. Sweetland Amphitheatre is not responsible for counterfeit tickets. Ticket quantities may be available for purchase on the day of an event at the Sweetland Amphitheatre Box Office located at 110 Smith Street, LaGrange, GA. The Box Office is open three hours prior to the gate time on the night of the performance and remains open until approximately 30 minutes after the headliner begins. In order to expedite ticket sales, the Box Office will ONLY sell tickets for that evening’s performance. The Box Office only accepts cash, debit cards, Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. Checks are not accepted.

Umbrellas

All umbrellas are prohibited for shows and concerts at Sweetland Amphitheatre. All events are rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to bring parkas or rain jackets in the event of rain.

Venue Rental

Sweetland Amphitheatre at Boyd Park boasts an assortment of areas within the park, both covered and uncovered, to host your next event. Because of the variety available for rental within the park, the facility can accommodate everything from large-scale corporate events, festivals and fundraisers, to smaller more intimate weddings, birthdays or family reunions. Rental details including pricing and venue specifics are available upon request, please email info@sweetlandamp.com to request more information. Please include details about the nature of your event and proposed dates.

Weather

Events at Sweetland Amphitheatre are held rain or shine. During the spring and summer months it is not unusual for large storms to come through in the afternoon and clear up for the evening. We encourage guests to please monitor the weather and dress accordingly. You may bring a rain coat or poncho. Information regarding the cancellation or postponement will be transmitted to the local media for distribution and placed on the Sweetland Amphitheatre website and social media sites. Sweetland Amphitheatre will not contact individual ticket holders regarding cancellations or postponements. Please check the Sweetland Amphitheatre Facebook Page or call 706.298.5434 on the day of the event for severe weather conditions that may change the show time. Should severe weather take place while the venue is open for guests prior to or leading up to or during a scheduled event, our Public Safety personnel will decide at what point to cancel or postpone the event. No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather if the event takes place. Please see our section on Cancelled or Postponed Events for more details.

Will Call

Will Call will be available for pick up at Sweetland on the day of the event for that event only. The Box Office is open three hours prior to the gate time on the night of the performance and remains open until approximately 30 minutes after the headliner begins. A photo ID must be shown when picking up Will Call. ID must match Will Call name.
